  • I have taught for 15 years and received three teaching awards for my innovative teaching methods. That is because I have experience, you know, like those other Older teachers you mentioned. My students LEARN. They excel on tests.

  • You know, people keep saying that throwing money at teachers is not the answer. What do you base this on? We have never paid teachers what they are worth. Maybe if we did pay them what they should get, we would have the best.

  • As a teacher I love this. Lugging textbooks has always been a problem, and digital books can be updated and cost less, plus the videos and interactives. I would like it to be more open access, apple does tend to be closed proprietary, but it is a great product.

  • Definitely divide and conquer. Right winger, there are other more reasonable ways to balance the budget. Attacking teachers that spend an average of 9-11 hours a day working with students is crap. I have been in the profession for 15 years.

  • Actually, housing costs are 5.4x what they were 35 years ago. I can calculate that thanks to a math teacher, thanks Mrs. Pilgrim. Seems like education is a deal by comparison.
